Pelatihan Website Sekolah Berbasis Google Sites untuk Literasi Digital Guru SMA

Digital transformation in the education sector has become an urgent necessity in the current era of information. One strategic initiative to support this transformation is the development of school websites as public communication and information platforms. This community engagement program aimed to enhance the digital literacy of teachers and education staff at SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Palembang through a training program focused on creating and managing school websites. The implementation method involved a needs assessment, training module development, hands-on sessions using Google Sites, and follow-up mentoring. The results indicated a significant improvement in participants’ competencies, particularly in understanding website fundamentals, technical skills, and digital content management. Participants collaboratively developed the school website, which is now managed by an internal team. Evaluation data also revealed a high level of participant satisfaction regarding the content, delivery method, and guidance provided. This activity demonstrates that, with participatory approaches and accessible technology, schools can initiate digitalization efforts independently and progressively—even in environments with limited technological resources.
